Dallyn Vail Bayles

DALLYN VAIL BAYLES, a professional actor and singer, can currently be seen portraying Hyrum Smith in the new LDS Church film Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration. Dallyn performed throughout the United States and Canada in the Broadway touring company of Les Miserables, as well as in the China Premiere production of Les Miserables starring Colm Wilkinson. Most recently, he portrayed the prophet Joseph Smith in the new Nauvoo Pageant. Dallyn also performed in the LDS Church productions of Light of the World as Alma Richards presented during the 2002 Winter Olympics in the Conference Center, and Savior of the World as Joseph in the Conference Center Theatre. He can be seen in the "Liken The Scriptures" children's musical film series as King Ahasuerus in Esther and the King, Joseph in The First Christmas, and Alma in Alma and King Noah's Court. Dallyn has performed as a guest soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on the Music and the Spoken Word national broadcast. Album recordings include featured solo credits in Jenny Phillip's The Miracle, the "Liken The Scriptures" soundtracks of Esther and the King , The First Christmas, and Alma and King Noah's Court; Light of the World, Savior of the World, and Young Ambassadors--Broadway Rhythm. Dallyn graduated from Brigham Young University with BFA in Music Dance Theatre. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional stage actors. Dallyn served a full-time mission for the LDS Church to Melbourne, Australia. He and his wife, Rachel, have three children, and currently reside in Orem, Utah.
