Kenneth Cope
Few musicians have touched a culture or genre as deeply and intensely as has composer, producer, performer, songwriter, and singer, Kenneth Cope. Receiving the 2003 Best of State Award for Male Vocalist of the Year and 2003 Pearl Awards for Sacred Song of the Year, Inspirational Album of the Year and Male Recording Artist of the Year, Kenneth has consistently set the standard for excellence in inspirational LDS music. Kenneth Cope grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended the High School for the Performing Arts. A talented singer and songwriter, he started out writing and performing for youth. He has composed numerous songs for seven albums produced for the Especially For Youth Program. More recently, Kenneth has ventured into the world of film scoring. He wrote and produced an original score for Joseph Smith, The Seer, an interactive CD-ROM that explores and examines the life of the prophet. He is also currently collaborating with author Susan Easton Black and artist Liz Lemon Swindle on a multimedia project that will chronicle the life of Christ, called Son of Man. Kenneth lives with his wife Kathy and their three daughters in Salt Lake City, Utah.
